Estacado won a hard fought game on Friday night at Plains Capital Park. The game went back and forth as the Matadors prevailed with some last second heroics. Jaleen Tennison hit Carl Willard on a 23yd TD pass with under 30 sec. left in the game.

The Matadors pulled out a defensive struggle in the rain and on the road tonight to beat the Demons 18-13. Rushing TD's by Jaleen Tennison and Craig Busby along with a touchdown connection from Tennison to Kenaris Jackson was all the offense needed after a late defensive stand sealed the game for the Estacado Matadors.
The defense also created 3 turnovers in the contest. 2-0!

The Matadors started off hot with 21 points in the 1st quarter. A 28 yard pass from Jaleen Tennison to Kenaris Jackson started things off. Followed by a 19 yard run by Tennison and a 26 yard rush by Tennison. The offense kept rolling with a 38 yard run by Keshan Cobbs and a 14 yard run by Av'Eon Williams. The defense got into the scoring with a 25 yard interception return for TD by Roctrus Sanders. The scoring finished with a 7 yard rush by Tennison. The defense was stout all night long EHS is at San Angelo Lakeview next week.

The Matadors overcame a sluggish first half and pulled away in the 2nd half to beat Lakeview. The scoring started with a 20 yard TD pass from Jaleen Tennison to Kenaris Jackson followed by a 27 yard pass from Tennison to Jackson. The running game got going as well with 55 yard run by Ukedrian Anderson and a 19 yard run by Tennison. The scoring was capped off with a 19 yard TD pass from Tennison to Jevon Bascus. The defense stiffened up to stifle the Lakeview offense to secure the victory.

The Matadors won a defensive slugfest tonight over the Borger Bulldogs to start 1-0 in district play. Interceptions by Cobye Bracy, D'Ante Thomas, and Keshawn Cobbs helped the cause. Offensively an 8 yard TD run by Jaleen Tennison, a 24 yard run by Keshawndrick Essix and a 49 yard run by Tennison was all the offense needed.

An offensive slugfest in Abilene tonight saw the Matadors
come up short against Stephenville in the area round of the
playoffs. Several players scored multiple times. Jaleen
Tennison on the ground and throughs the air, David
Smith on the ground, Dorian Deary and Kenaris Jackson
came up huge in the passing game. Kenaris also had an
interception. But Stephenville had too much fire power as
they end the season for the Matadors.

The Matadors played a hard fought scrimmage and did extremely well. Javier Camacho and Tyrese Nathan lead the offense with a great running attack which shreaded the Perryton Defense. The Defense was lead by Eulogio Herrera, Zack Ramos, Mickey Barrera, and Keshondrick Essix. Two defensive miscues assisted the Rangers in scoring.

The Matadors played with great effort and enthusiam. The offense executed well and was able to move the ball. Walter Crockett looked brilliant and threw some exceptional passes. The defense had a great goaline stand and played with extreme physicality. Good job Matadors!!!!

The Matadors led the entire game, but two long kickoff returns from the Whitefaces lead to scores. The final Hereford score came with 55 seconds left in the game, and they converted a 2 pt. conversion which sealed the victory.

The Matador defense was nasty, as they dominated the Dumas Demons from start to end. The offense set the tone early, scoring on a long run by Tyrese Nathan. Ar'Quayvious Nathan had two interceptions and Jacob Bustamante grabbed another. A late Demonic rally came to an end, as the Matadors secured their first season win.

In a offensive and defensive slugfest, the Matadors appeared to have secured a victory. But with less than two minutes left in the game, the Longhorns drove the distance of the field and scored. Still trailing 14-12, the Longhorns converted the two point conversion and tied the game. The Matadors moved the ball down field in the remaining seconds, but threw an interception which killed the drive.

The Matadors played an awesome first half of football only trailing the Westerners by 6 points. But in the second half, several offensive and defensive setbacks were too great to overcome. Giving a 16 point victory to the Westerners.

The Matadors and Borger Bullsdogs game was over before it really begun. The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for Borger and surrounding communities at the onset of the game. Dangerous storms and frequent lightning was highly prevalent. Both Coaching Staffs agreed that safety was paramount for the players, coaches and the fans.
Therefore the game was canceled.

In one of the most invigorating and motivating performances of the year. The Matadors played their hearts out in a defeat to the Levelland Lobos. The offense moved the ball behind great tailback play by Tyrese Nathan and awesome support given by receivers Chester McVade and Ar'Quayvious Nathan. The defense was stellar, and Mike Deleon frequently made his presence known throughout the course of the game. The level of intensity exhibited by the Matadors, would in most cases garner a victory. But, two for sure touchdown passes were not excuted. Thus preventing the Matadors from achieving their first District victory.

The Matadors started the game on fire and dominated the first half leading 12-0. In the second half, Pampa changed their strategy and ran the ball heavily against the Matadors. Scoring 26 unanswered points, while the Matadors missed on several scoring opportunities. The Matadors could never regain their composure and lost the game.
